Welcome to Lake Helen, Florida.  Take a step back in time and experience true tranquility.  Incorporated in 1888, our town was founded by Henry DeLand and named after his daughter, Helen.  We have no stop lights and ask all drivers to give way to pedestrians, horseback riders and wildlife.  A short stroll will get you across town in minutes. Our family friendly town boasts several outdoor parks and lakes; an equestrian facility; historic areas and venues; a museum; a library; public, private, charter schools and so much more.  We have an active city calendar with events galore!  Click ‘City Calendar’ to plan your next trip to Lake Helen.  We’re the tiny dot on the map.  Quietly located in West Volusia County off
